Family Channel gets loud with two Big Ticket Summer concerts
Summer campaign announces tour stops in Toronto and Calgary
TORONTO, June 4, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Family Channel's got the summer forecast and it looks hot! The network's Big Ticket Summer campaign returns with sizzling specials, massive movies and cool contests running all summer long. This year the excitement doubles with the addition of a second Big Ticket Summer Concert event, where Family will bring a stellar lineup of stars out to perform in Toronto (Sunday, August 25; Molson Canadian Amphitheatre) and Calgary (Saturday, September 7; MacEwan Hall).
Popular Disney stars and Canadian artists are among the performers set to take the stage as part of the Big Ticket Summer Concert line-up. In Toronto, pop sensation R5, featuring Austin & Ally's Ross Lynch, will co-headline with fan favourite Zendaya, who stars as Rocky in Family Channel's hit series Shake It Up and recently placed second on Dancing with the Stars. Joining the show is teen superstar Victoria Duffield and pop/rock band Eleven Past One.
In the west, fans attending Calgary's concert will also see R5 and Eleven Past One, along with rising star Tyler Shaw and special guest Veronica. Presented by Family, both star-studded concert events will be hosted by the stars of Family Channel's breakout dance series, The Next Step.
Family fanatics will have the chance to win their way into the Big Ticket Summer Concert as Family Channel gives away six grand prizes to attend the Toronto show. Each prize consists of one trip for four to Family's Big Ticket Summer Concert in Toronto including airfare, accommodations, transportation to the concert event and tickets to the show.
