Family Channel welcomes its newest addition: Disney Channel's Good Luck
Charlie
The sitcom for the whole family launches May 14 at 7 p.m. ET/PT
TORONTO, April 21 /CNW/ - Astral Media's Family Channel proudly introduces Canadians to Good Luck Charlie - a sitcom for the whole family that revolves around what happens when a new baby joins the Duncan household and roles shift for everyone in the family. Family Channel will air two back-to-back episodes of the Disney Channel comedy series Good Luck Charlie beginning at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Friday, May 14. The regular timeslot for the series is Fridays at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
In Good Luck Charlie, the Duncan family, including teen siblings PJ and Teddy and tween brother Gabe, welcomes their newest addition, Charlie, and the many adjustments she brings to the household. Charlie's soon sitting up, crawling, walking and running - requiring the kids to team up and help their parents, Bob and Amy, look after the cute little newcomer. In each episode Teddy creates a personalized video diary for Charlie, an older sister telling her baby sister about all the things she'll help her learn as she grows up, including how to withstand the household and deal with friends, boys and school.
Good Luck Charlie stars Bridgit Mendler (Wizards of Waverly Place), Jason Dolley (Cory in the House), Bradley Steven Perry, Leigh-Allyn Baker (Will & Grace), Eric Allan Kramer (My Name Is Earl, The Hughleys, Robin Hood: Men in Tights) and newcomer Mia Talerico as Charlie. The creative team includes several network sitcom veterans led by series creators Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen (Suddenly Susan and What I Like About You), who also serve as executive producers with Dan Staley (Cheers, Love & Money).
In the premiere episode, Study Date, airing Friday, May 14 at 7 p.m. ET/PT, Amy is fretting as she returns to work, but Bob reassures her that they have a support system to care for Charlie. That is until Teddy is distracted by a study session with a cute classmate, PJ tries to have a jam session with his friend, Gabe acts as though his territory has been invaded and Bob takes a tumble. This debut episode is currently being previewed on Family OnDemand.
In Baby Come Back, airing Friday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT, Teddy encourages Amy and Bob to go on a long overdue date while the kids babysit Charlie. When PJ takes Charlie to the park, he accidentally swaps strollers and babies with a cute girl.
Leading up the introduction of the Duncan family, Family presents family-themed episodes of Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place and JONAS beginning at 6 p.m. ET/PT on Friday, May 14.
