Farmers gearing up at 60+ unreserved farm auctions in Western Canada this spring
Ritchie Bros. will sell 7,000+ farm equipment items plus a huge selection of real estate
SASKATOON, March 14, 2016 /CNW/ - Every spring, Ritchie Bros.' agricultural team takes the show on the road, travelling from farm-to-farm across Western Canada to conduct retirement sales for farmers. Equipment no longer needed by one farmer is ready to work for another.
This spring Ritchie Bros. will conduct 60+ unreserved on-the-farm auctions in Western Canada—from Dawson Creek, BC to Crystal City, MB. Auction highlights include thousands of acres of farmland, as well as 500+ farm tractors, 175+ cultivators, 170+ combines, 170+ headers, 165+ air drills, 120+ swathers, 190+ grain trucks, 115+ grain trailers, and more.
"The agricultural sector is one of the shining lights in the Canadian economy right now—exports are up and commodity prices are holding steady," said Simon Wallan, Vice President, Ritchie Bros. "If you need equipment for your farm, or more farmland to work, we have a huge selection to choose from this spring. Buying at our auctions is fair and easy. You can inspect and test equipment before you bid and everything is sold unreserved."
On March 30 in Bonanza, AB, Ritchie Bros. will conduct one of its largest-ever on-the-farm auctions. The auction for the Nobbs family features 51 parcels of real estate and a large line-up of late-model equipment.
"My dad and grandfather homesteaded this land; we've been farming here for decades, but it's time for a change," said Danny Nobbs. "I've bought and sold with Ritchie Bros. over the years. Their on-the-farm auctions are great. It's nice to go to a farm, meet the owner, and see how the equipment was used. I'm looking forward to our sale."
On top of the dozens of on-the-farm auctions, Ritchie Bros. will sell agricultural equipment for multiple owners at its permanent auction sites:
- Grande Prairie (March 14-15 and April 14) – 2,500+ items, including hundreds of farm equipment items, will be sold March 14-15. The April 14 auction will feature an even greater selection of farm equipment.
- Saskatoon, SK (March 21) – 1,500+ items to be sold for 225+ owners, incl. real estate
