TORONTO, Jan. 31, 2019 /CNW/ - Join Raising the Roof and our partner agencies across Canada on February 5th for Toque Tuesday as we sell toques, socks, and mittens in support of long-term solutions to homelessness. This year, our toque and the accompanying creative has been designed by awarding winning agency, Leo Burnett Toronto. The toque carries a strong emotional message to spread empathy and awareness around people at-risk of or experiencing homelessness. The limited-edition toque reads, "I Give a Damn" (with a French version stating "Je M'Implique") which we hope will be a conversation starter on the issue of homelessness in Canada.
This year's taglines include:
- Food. Shelter. Safety. Tonight, 35,000 Families Can Only Pick 1.
- 1 in 150 Canadians Experience Homelessness. Do the Other 149 Care?
- The Number One Cause of Homelessness is Ignoring It.
- Housing is a Basic Human Right, Right?
- After Fighting Overseas, Many Canadians Come Home to Battle Homelessness
