DUCK LAKE, SK, Jan. 22, 2018 /CNW/ - The Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan announced the official opening of a brand new Habitat for Humanity (Habitat) home in the community of Duck Lake, which marks another significant investment that strengthens communities and improves access to housing across the province.
Today, the Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, on behalf of the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and Minister Responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), along with Delbert Kirsch, Member of the Legislative Assembly for Batoche, on behalf of the Honourable Paul Merriman, Minister of Social Services and Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC), and Jan Thomas, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Prince Albert, officially celebrated the opening of the Habitat for Humanity home in Duck Lake.
This investment supports Habitat in making homes more affordable and will help improve the quality of life for families in Saskatchewan.
