TORONTO, April 15, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - The provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador has identified Newfoundland and Labrador Healthcare Partners (NL Healthcare Partners) to design, build, finance and maintain the Gander and Grand Falls-Windsor Care Homes project in a public-private partnership.

The project comprises two facilities, one in Gander and one in Grand Falls-Windsor, that will each provide 60 long-term care beds. The Gander facility will be designed and constructed with the potential for future expansion of approximately 105 additional beds. Addressing pressures on the long-term care system in the province, the project is focused on improving access to bed placement.
The project is expected to reach financial close in Q2 2019. The contract cost will be announced publicly following financial close.
