Festival d'été de Québec welcomes a New General Manager

QUÉBEC CITY, April 15, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - The Board of Directors for Festival d'été de Québec and 3E événement-expérience-émotion is proud to announce the appointment of its new General Manager, Anne Hudon. She will be succeeding the Interim General Manager, Claude Doré, who has ensured the transition period since the departure of Daniel Gélinas. Anne Hudon's mandate begins on June 10th.

I will have the pleasure of leading a strong team with years of experience at the helm of the event. Together, we will continue grow and present high-caliber events that Quebecers will be proud of," exclaimed Ms. Hudon. 

A native of Paspébiac, Ms. Hudon has been living in Québec City for over 20 years. Until she takes office at the FEQ in June, Ms. Hudon will keep acting as President and CEO of Opération Enfant Soleil, where she has worked for the past 10 years.  Heading a team of 35 people, she ran the charitable organization, orchestrated many major events, ensured the organization's financial health, and brilliantly navigated the transition to digital. She holds a Bachelor's degree in communications-marketing from Université Laval and was formerly Director of Operations at Cossette and Executive Director of Fjord Interactive Marketing + Technology, a division of Cossette.

"Although Ms. Hudon will be managing the organization, we wish to highlight Claude Doré's huge contribution to Festival d'été de Québec. As Interim General Manager since 2017, he has done an excellent job of leading the team.  The origin of many of the innovations of this 52^nd FEQ, Mr. Doré has generously used his talents in service of the organization, leading it to new heights. We are extremely privileged to have been able to count on his leadership. The FEQ team will be forever grateful to him", continued Mr. Simard. Mr. Doré will resume his role as Deputy General Manager when Ms. Hudon begins her mandate.
