~ Fidelity mutual funds win 11 Lipper Awards ~
TORONTO, Feb. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - At the 2012 Lipper Fund Awards ceremony last night, several mutual funds managed by Fidelity Investments Canada ULC won Lipper awards across multiple CIFSC fund categories and time periods, including Canadian equity, fixed income and target date portfolios. In total, seven Fidelity mutual funds won 11 awards for delivering strong risk-adjusted performance over various time periods, relative to their peers.
The Lipper awards are in addition to the many honours Fidelity has received lately. Fidelity was recently named by Canadian financial advisors as the Advisors' Choice Fund Company of the Year at the 2011 Morningstar ® Canadian Investment Awards. As well in 2011, for the sixth year in a row, advisors chose Fidelity as the number one "Overall Company" in the annual Environics Advisor Perception Study. Fidelity scored high marks in overall performance, sales, back office, corporate reputation and marketing.

Additionally, on February 7th, 2012, two of Fidelity's Team Canada portfolio managers, Daniel (Dan) Dupont and Maxime (Max) Lemieux, were named to Finance et Investissement's annual listing of Top 25 Most Influential People in Quebec financial services industry. This is Dan's first and Max's third inclusion on this influential list.

The Fidelity Canadian Large Cap Fund is a multiple Lipper award winner this year and Fidelity Monthly Income Fund received a silver award in the Canadian Balanced category at the recent Morningstar Canadian Investment Awards. Lemieux manages the Fidelity True North® Fund. In 2008, Lemieux was named Mutual Fund Manager of the Year in the U.S. by Dow Jones MarketWatch.
