Fiera Capital takes honours in Brendan Wood International's announcement of the 2014 TopGun Investment Minds and Canada's Best in Class Investment Firms

MONTREAL, Dec. 10, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Fiera Capital, one of Canada's largest asset managers, is pleased to announce that it ranked highly in three categories in Brendan Wood International's announcement of the 2014 TopGun Investment Minds and Canada's Best in Class Investment Firms on Monday. Three of its investment professionals were welcomed into the Canadian Society of TopGun Investment Minds Class of 2014.

The TopGun designation is the brainchild of Brendan Wood International, a leading independent intelligence-based advisor to investors, corporations, investment banks and other participants in capital markets worldwide.

Topping the list of Fiera Capital's awards this year, Michael Chan, Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager, Small Cap Equities, was fifth among the TopGun Canadian Investment Minds based on votes from Canada's sell-side professionals, an honour reserved for the country's top investment professionals.

In the team competition, Canada's TopGun Investment Teams of the Year, Fiera Capital climbed from fifth place among the best firms in the country in 2013 to third place this year based on votes from Canada's sell-side professionals. Fiera Capital was also in the Top 10 of the prestigious TopGun Investment Brands based on votes from the Canadian Society of TopGuns, Class of 2014.

Finally, three of Fiera Capital's investment professionals were named to the Canadian Society of TopGun Investment Minds Class of 2014: Michael Chan, Ashish Chaturvedi and Jean-Philippe Choquette. According to Brendan Wood International, the sell-side of the Canadian investment business voted sixty one of their buy-side clients into the Society of TopGuns this year. Two hundred and sixty sell-side professionals cast their ballots for the investors they personally believed to be the thought leaders in the industry during the past year.
