Fifty million dollar LOTTO MAX jackpot split four ways: Winning jackpot ticket for $12.5 million sold in Toronto Français
Thirteen MAXMILLIONS tickets sold across Ontario
TORONTO, June 6, 2015 /CNW/ - Ontario has several new millionaires today! There were four winning jackpot tickets sold across Canada from the Friday June 5, 2015 LOTTO MAX draw each worth $12.5 million. One of the winning tickets was sold in Toronto. Two other winning tickets were sold in British Columbia and one winning ticket was sold in western Canada. The jackpot from the Friday June 5, 2015 was worth $50 million.
In addition to the $12.5 million jackpot winning ticket sold in Toronto, there were 10 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets sold in Ontario worth $1 million. The 10 tickets were sold in the following communities:
- Barrie area
- North Bay
- Oakville area
- Hamilton area
- Woodbridge
- Mississauga (2 winning tickets)
- Toronto (3 winning tickets)
Three MAXMILLIONS tickets, each worth $500,000, were also sold in Ontario and shared with tickets sold elsewhere in Canada. Those tickets were sold in the following communities:
- Oshawa
- Barrie area
- Welland
There were other prize winning tickets sold in Ontario. Two second prize tickets worth $191,154.70 each were sold in Toronto and the Timmins area.
Finally, an ENCORE ticket worth $1 million was sold in Windsor and another ENCORE ticket worth $100,000 was sold in Cambridge.
Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $2 billion in prizes, including 40 jackpot wins and 228 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets.
For each $5 play, LOTTO MAX players receive three sets of seven numbers ranging from one to forty-nine. Players must match all seven numbers, in any one set, to win the jackpot and the MAXMILLIONS prizes.
Next week's LOTTO MAX jackpot will be an estimated $38 million. Players can purchase tickets at authorized OLG retailers until 9 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015 for the draw that evening.
