FIGR subsidiary completes first shipments of legal recreational cannabis to the provinces of Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia

CHARLOTTETOWN, Oct. 15, 2018 /CNW/ - FIGR is proud to announce that its Prince Edward Island subsidiary operation completed its first shipments of legal recreational cannabis to the provinces of Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. FIGR products, including flower, pre-rolls and cannabis oil, will be available to adult consumers in both P.E.I. and Nova Scotia on October 17, when adult recreational use becomes legal in Canada.

"These first shipments to P.E.I. and Nova Scotia represent significant milestones for our business. Being selected to supply cannabis to both provinces is a privilege and a recognition of the quality of product FIGR delivers. FIGR, through its P.E.I. subsidiary, is one of only a few local Maritimes-licensed producers that have received purchase orders to supply Nova Scotia and P.E.I. stores come October 17. The NSLC and P.E.I.CMC intend to sell legal cannabis in retail stores throughout both provinces and provide online sales to adults in Canada as of October 17.
