MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 8, 2016) /CNW/ - Olympian Cheryl Bernard, ET Canada host Rick Campanelli, HGTV host J.D. Scott and travel blogger Arienne Parzei follow up last year's climb of Mount Kilimanjaro with the documentary of their experience premiering tonight in Toronto. Winner of an IndieFEST award, Kili Climb for Kids follows the stars as they partner with World Vision to undertake one of the biggest and most dangerous challenges, all to raise funds and awareness for women and girls around the world in crisis. The climb raised $143,000 to help women and girls who are victims of abuse and exploitation with health care, job training, education and counselling.
"Our celebrities never cease to amaze me with their dedication to raising money and awareness for the world's most vulnerable," says Sheri McConnell Director of World Vision's Artist Collective. "These ambassadors put themselves in real danger and stretched their physical and mental limits showing their commitment to raise funds to bring real change to help victims of abuse and exploitation reclaim the rest of their lives."
