Finance Ministers Meeting, June 14, 2010, Prince Edward Island

OTTAWA, June 9 /CNW Telbec/ - The Minister of Finance, Jim Flaherty, will meet with provincial and territorial finance ministers on June 14, 2010.

The meeting will take place at the Rodd Crowbush Resort, 632 Route No.350, in Lakeside, Prince Edward Island.

Accommodation at the Rodd Crowbush Resort is restricted to federal, provincial and territorial officials attending the meeting. Rooms are available at the Rodd Royalty Inn & Suites, located at 14 Capital Drive, in Charlottetown (902-894-8566).

Media wishing to participate in the photo-op should present themselves at the media working room at the Rodd Crowbush Resort 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time.

8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Ministers will review progress in implementing Canada's Economic Action Plan, discuss priorities to ensure the country's long-term economic strength, including the importance of returning to balanced budgets, and discuss proposals to strengthen Canada's retirement income system.
