First Canadian Public School Votes to Remove Wifi
MEAFORD, ON, Oct. 18 /CNW/ - Parents of St. Vincent Euphrasia elementary school have voted overwhelmingly to turn off WiFi microwave transmitters in their children's classrooms.
"After learning the whole story about how risky WiFi is, parents voted to protect their children's health and plug the computers back in with hardwires," said Andrew Couper, a member of the elected School Council.
The School Council is a government mandated body obligated under provincial guidelines to inform parents of any serious issue affecting their school. Students across Canada have reported ill effects after schools install blanket WiFi systems.
"This is something every school council across Canada should be questioning," said Couper.
