First ever mobile hard drive shredder in Calgary, Alberta
CALGARY, Jan. 23, 2013 /CNW/ - The ERA (Electronic Recycling Association of Alberta) has acquired several mobile hard drive shredders which conform to DoD and RCMP data removal and protection standards, from AmeriShred.
AmeriShred is a manufacturer of hard drive shredders which comply with DoD and RCMP standards for data removal and destruction.
Due to recent concerns surrounding personal and corporate secret data found in computers and servers in various Alberta and BC collection points (landfill collection sites, retail stores in Calgary and Edmonton, bottle depots in BC etc), the ERA has made it its mission to protect the personal and confidential data of people and corporations in Alberta, and across Canada.
ERA is offering its mobile hard drive shredders from its facilities in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal to residents and small businesses. Corporations and government departments can rent or hire the mobile shredders to come to their facilities. ERA also offers live streaming of the shredding services, as well as 3rd party certified security company presence during the shredding service, for that extra layer of security.
Watch the ERA shredder live on youtube or in person at ERA's warehouse across Canada!
The ERA is a nonprofit organization focused on collection and reuse of computers, laptops and servers. ERA donates computers to various charities and non profits across Canada. You can find out more online at www.era.ca
