FIRST URANIUM ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
TORONTO and JOHANNESBURG, Sept. 12 /CNW/ - First Uranium Corporation (TSX:FIU, JSE:FUM) ("First Uranium" or the "Company") (ISIN:CA33744R1029) announced today that Mr. Patrick Evans has tendered his resignation from the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Evans is President and Chief Executive Officer of Mountain Province Diamonds Inc., Chief Executive Officer of Norsemont Mining Inc. and a director of Anvil Mining Limited. He became a director of First Uranium in December 2006 and has served as chair of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee. Mr. Evan's resignation takes effect immediately. The Board of Directors of First Uranium wishes to thank him for his past service and contribution to the company.
