Flood situation in Pierrefonds-Roxboro - May 16, 2017: Help Centre for Disaster Victims Relocated to Borough Hall Français
PIERREFONDS-ROXBORO, QC, May 16, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - The Borough hereby wishes to inform residents affected by the floods that the Help Centre for Disaster Victims, which was located at Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School, has been relocated—as of today—to Borough Hall, 13665 boulevard de Pierrefonds.
At this Centre, in addition to representatives from the Red Cross, a team from the Borough's permit office is on hand to provide residents with information on the permits needed to repair their property. A team from the CLSC Pierrefonds will also be there to offer psycho-social assistance.
Residents will also be able to obtain a cleaning kit here—a mask and a pair of gloves.
"The Borough's priority is to meet our residents' urgent needs during these difficult times. We trust that this relocation will make it easier for the flood victims, as they will have access—at one single location—to all the resources they may need, in addition to the regular services offered at our Citizens' Office," stated Borough Mayor Dimitrios (Jim) Beis.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to the Lester B. Pearson School Board and to Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School for being so accommodating during the floods," added Mayor Beis.
The Centre will be open:
- Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. - noon
The Centre will be closed on Sundays and on Monday, May 22, for National Patriots' Day.
