Flooding delays mail delivery in parts of Alberta
OTTAWA, June 21, 2013 /CNW/ - With multiple communities in Alberta being evacuated due to flooding, Canada Post is unable to deliver mail to a large number of customers today. Highway closures are also presenting challenges for our trucks trying to get mail in to several communities.
In Calgary more than 100,000 addresses will not receive mail delivery along with another 25,000 customers in the flooded areas in southern Alberta.
Once the state of emergency is lifted and roads reopen, mail delivery will resume.
