Floods in Pierrefonds-Roxboro - Borough Provides Tools to Help Citizens Clean up After the Floods

PIERREFONDS-ROXBORO, QC, May 13, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - As part of support measures implemented following the floods affecting Pierrefonds-Roxboro, the Borough announces that, as of today (Saturday, May 13) and for a one-week period, there will be a waste collection every day.

Residents are invited to place at the curbside all material or objects that they wish to dispose of due to the floods, including large items and electronics.

Waste Disposal Sites
Two waste disposal sites are now available to citizens who want to start cleaning up their property.

The sites where there is a waste container are located near the two fire stations serving the borough:

• One principal and larger site near the Fire station located at 13775, boulevard de Pierrefonds (corner rue René-Émard).
  
  
• A secondary and smaller site near the Fire station located at 18661, boulevard de Pierrefonds (corner avenue Château-Pierrefonds).

Citizens affected by the floods who wish to start cleaning up their property can get rid of all waste material in or around one of these containers, free or charge. No waste will be refused. Containers are accessible 7 days a week, 24/24 hrs.

Sand Bags
Residents who want to dispose immediately of sand bags can bring them on the same sites and put the bags in a pile near the containers.

Residents who are not able to transport their sand bags to the authorized sites may place the bags at the curbside and contact 311 to have them removed.
