Canada's first social water brand has also partnered with Brands for Canada to launch
#DoGood philanthropic efforts that will give back to communities across the country
TORONTO, Feb. 3, 2016 /CNW/ - Founded by Canadian entrepreneur Nicholas Reichenbach and inspired by people finding their flow, Flow launched in March 2015 as North America's first-to-market socially responsible water company. The brand's explosive growth and award-winning 500 mL SKU has cemented Flow as the environmental leader in the premium enhanced water category. Today, Flow is listed at over 3,500 retailers across Canada and the company is proud to be expanding their consumer offerings with the introduction of a new 1 litre format.
"Our 500 mL pack experienced well above average unit sales per store, per week, and has been pulling market share from lower quality and less eco-friendly competitors. The next logical step was to increase our product offering," explains Reichenbach. "The 1 litre format is something that our customers have demanded. They want larger formats that are family-friendly and seek healthier products that benefit both themselves and the global community," says Reichenbach.
Flow is a uniquely responsible water brand with a socially conscious mandate focused on sustainability and making a positive impact on the world. As part of the company's #DoGood philosophy, Flow recently launched formal philanthropic efforts by partnering with Brands for Canada to support Canadian families in need. "We are grateful that Canadians have embraced our local, naturally alkaline spring water," explains Reichenbach. "We want to give thanks by partnering with Brands for Canada to supply basic needs for Canadian families. At Flow, we believe that we are all connected and that every action taken, including purchasing a water product, should have a positive affect on the world around us."
In January, Flow donated over 30,000 litres of enhanced spring water to Syrian refugee families recently arrived to Toronto. Through Brands for Canada, Flow is also partnering with the Winnipeg Police and the Winnipeg School Division to provide water to students in indigenous reserve communities lacking access to clean drinking water. "We are very appreciative of the generosity that Flow is providing," explains Helen Harakas, Executive Director of Brands for Canada. "Their donation goes above and beyond in an effort to help Toronto's new Syrian families and students in Manitoba."
Flow's water is nurtured for thousands of years in a deep, artesian aquifer in Southwestern Ontario where it naturally collects essential minerals, electrolytes and an alkaline pH. With no industrial process or additives necessary, Flow is pure, holistic H2O straight from the earth. The company has partnered with Tetra Pak® to ensure its package is as positive as its water. Flow's package has a minimized carbon footprint and two-thirds of Flow's packages come from renewable resources such as paperboard made from responsibly managed forests. The packages are recyclable, non-PET and BPA free.
The introduction of the new 1 litre format compliments the original 500 mL pack and meets the growing demand for convenient and eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bottled water. Flow is available across Canada at fine retailers including Whole Foods, Longo's, Sobey's, Metro, Shoppers Drug Mart, Pusateri's Fine Foods, and many more. Flow Direct, the arm of the business responsible for delivering Flow's artesian spring water to local juiceries, cafés and fitness studios across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in their fleet of electric SUVs, further substantiates the company as leaders in eco-innovation. Flow's new-age milkman model is the first of its kind and is disrupting the premium water market. Flow will continue to grow its expansion into Eastern and Western Canada this year.
Flow's new 1 litre format is available at retailers for $3.49 (1 L) and $2.49 (500 mL). For more information visit www.flowlikewater.com Find @FlowWater on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. #BeInTheFlow
