FOCUS ON FASHION @ Promenade - Canadian designer Simon Chang live in
Thornhill to kick off "walk, shop, promenade" event
THORNHILL, ON, Aug. 31 /CNW Telbec/ - Promenade is excited to reveal "walk, shop, promenade" - a month of activities dedicated to fall fashion. To commemorate the event, Canadian designer Simon Chang will be live at the centre to present his new collection at his store that recently opened. Alongside Simon Chang will be Promenade's fashion guru, Yael Panet, who will be holding several fashion boot camp sessions during the months of September and October at the mall.
The fashion show is set to take place on Sunday, September 12 at 1:00 p.m and will reveal a collection of fashion from a variety of Promenade's retailers. "Now that summer is winding down, it's time to think about building your fall fashion wardrobe," said Eva Murrant, General Manager of Promenade.
Within the past month, Promenade has added three new retailers to the centre, each of which specializes in their own unique area of fashion. Simon Chang is a Canadian designer whose creations regularly appear in women's fashion magazines. Honey, another new addition, is well known for their high fashion denim, and Capezio specializes in accessories, including designer shoes and handbags.
Yael Panet, resident fashion guru, will not only be hosting the main event, but will also offer on the spot style advice. Attendees can enter a draw at the show to win a $2,000 shop! card and a special one-hour personal shopping session with Ms. Panet.
Fashion boot camp sessions will take place on Thursday, September 16, Friday, September 24, and Saturday, October 2. Each session focuses on building a wardrobe with themes such as girl's night out, yummy mummy, and office model. Small groups of women will experience shopping with personalized seasonal style advice. Those interested can contact Promenade Guest Services at (905) 764-0020. Spots are available on a first come, first serve basis.
