QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 3, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and a group of Québec City investors are partnering in Campari, a residential and commercial rental development on the corner of Route de l'Église and Montreuil Street in the centre of Québec City's Sainte-Foy-Sillery-Cap-Rouge borough.
Located on a 28,427 ft2 lot, the 10-storey building will consist of 117 high-end apartments and a commercial section on the ground floor. Construction started in October, with completion slated for spring 2017.
"With Québec City's planned redevelopment of Route de l'Église announced in the fall, Campari fits right in with the neighbourhood's complete streets concept. Strategically located less than 2 kilometres from Université Laval, sports centres, the library, the Sainte-Foy public market, restaurants, Parc Roland-Beaudin, bicycle paths and public transit, Campari offers its future tenants a modern and hip living environment," said Réal Breton, President of Iceberg Capital, one of the project's investors.
For Normand Bélanger, President and CEO of the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, "The Campari project meets a growing demand for new, high-end residential rental buildings, demand that has picked up momentum in recent years. Besides contributing to the local economy, this project will create about 230 jobs."
One-, two- and three-bedroom units will be available. Each apartment will have granite counters, air conditioning, an air exchanger and a balcony with glass railings.
A model unit will be ready in July 2016
