Food Basics rolls out province-wide 150% off campaign to help customers have it all
Grocery chain celebrates Canada's 150th birthday with one-of-a-kind contest
TORONTO, June 12, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Everyone dreams of being able to have it all, but exactly what that means varies from person to person. In celebration of Canada's 150th birthday, Food Basics will be helping more Ontarians than ever before to have it all by providing shoppers with a chance to win 150 per cent off their grocery bill.
That's not a typo: we really did mean to say one hundred and fifty per cent off.
A continuation of Food Basics' popular I Want It All initiative, the grocery chain will reimburse winning customers for their total purchase, in addition to awarding winners a cheque equal to an additional 50 per cent of their original bill. Through the I Want it All contest, which runs from June 8 to July 5, Food Basics will distribute an estimated $100,000 in prizes across Ontario.
"With Canada's 150th birthday this summer, Canadians have a lot to celebrate and this year's I Want It All program will enable them to do just that," says Nancy Modrcin, Vice President, Marketing, Metro Ontario. "This offer is an extension of our mission to enable customers to save on the little things so that they can spend on the items or experiences that really matter most to them. Because whether our customers shop at Food Basics because they want to, or because they need to, everyone deserves to have it all."
This same mission is seen every day through Food Basics' commitment to providing products that are always at great prices, always fresh and always in-stock. This allows Food Basics customers flexibility to occasionally treat themselves – whether it's lunch with a friend, extra family time or a bit more savings towards that big trip we all dream of.
To enter for a chance to win, customers can upload an image of their receipt at FoodBasics.ca. Each receipt will act as an official entry, and will remain in the draw until the end of the program – or, hopefully, until the moment that customer wins 150 per cent off! For additional chances to win, shoppers are encouraged to sign up for Food Basics' weekly e-newsletter to receive an additional entry. Winners will be drawn every weekday throughout the duration of the program, and announced on the grocery chain's website and Facebook page.
