For fifth consecutive year, T4G named to Canada's Best Workplaces
Also cited as one of the best workplaces for women
TORONTO, April 19, 2012 /CNW/ - For a fifth straight year, the employees at T4G Limited have been recognized for their creativity, passion and community work as the company is again named to the annual Best Workplaces in Canada list.
And T4G, a leading North American full-service, project-based technology services company, for the second year in a row is ranked in the Top 10 by the Great Workplace Institute Canada. Not only that, T4G was cited as number 8 Best Workplace in Canada for women.
"These duel honors are all about the great people who choose to come together and collaborate here to build some of the most creative solutions in our industry and add to our unique culture," says T4G President Geoff Flood.
"We do think, naively or not, that we can change the world. And we attract like-minded, bright people from all across North America who divide tasks and multiply successes. We refuse to separate business from community. We believe we can build creative solutions to help customers succeed at the same time as fostering local community programs where we live," adds Mr. Flood.
This socially responsible attitude toward the environment and giving back to its communities is real and part of the corporate foundation. A division of the company called the Future Focus Foundation is a registered charity. It has raised and given away more than $1 million to charities that help young people succeed.
T4G ranked in the 9th position among companies with fewer than 1,000 employees. T4G first entered the Best Workplaces list in 2008 at 28th position and has steadily moved up the rankings.
Organizations on this year's list were ranked using the results of an employee survey, the Trust Index©, developed by global research firm Great Place to Work® Institute. This methodology is utilized by more than 5,000 organizations each year, making it the most widely adopted workforce satisfaction tool in the world.
The Best Workplaces winners were featured in today's Globe and Mail newspaper. Some 50,000 employees at Canadian companies are randomly selected to complete a survey and then all applying companies face an in-depth review of their culture and procedures by the Great Workplace Institute Canada.
T4G now has 278 employees with information technology capabilities spanning business intelligence, infrastructure & security, software development & integration, content delivery, mobile solutions, social media strategy & management, portals & collaboration, user experience and more.
With its strategy to open offices in communities where smart people want to live and raise families, T4G aims to add to its current locations in Halifax, Moncton, Fredericton, Saint John, Saco, Maine, Toronto and Vancouver.
