Patrons entering premises are greeted by virtual "hologram" hostess

TORONTO, Sept. 14, 2013 /CNW/ - It was a week of firsts at the new Richtree Natural Market Restaurant in the Toronto Eaton Centre and guests will be able to celebrate  the opening weekend in style by raising a glass inside the establishment's Foundation Bar.

As one of the 11 unique eateries featured in the 20,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art marketplace, Foundation Bar is fully-licensed with a selection of local, organic and/or biodynamic wine, beer and premium spirits, which patrons can order from any food station.

Open from 11am to midnight, patrons will not only enjoy its relaxed atmosphere and inviting décor, they will also be struck by the hospitality served up by its friendly staff, including a hostess unlike any other.

As a way to educate customers about the Richtree experience, which leverages the latest digital technologies to create a truly engaging and innovative space, a virtual hostess greets guests and welcomes them to a world 'Where Good Comes Together'.

Among the few holograms used in a retail or food service setting, which uses the 'pepper-ghost' effect, it is one of the many technologically-advanced features inside the restaurant, which also includes touch screen kiosks, a 23-foot video wall, interactive projections, as well as a Market Pass app for iOS and Android, for mobile payment.
