As Director, Policy & Government Affairs, MacLennan is responsible for leading FP Canada's policy agenda and working closely with governments and regulators across the country on initiatives that will enhance the financial well-being of Canadians.
MacLennan is a seasoned, senior public affairs leader. Most recently, he was Director of Government and Stakeholder Relations with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), where he developed and led strategy on many of the OLG's most significant files. MacLennan brings to FP Canada broad policy skills and experience from both the federal and provincial governments, where he held several Chief of Staff roles to various senior ministers for many years.
"With provinces such as Ontario and Saskatchewan having recently made important progress on title protection legislation, it's critical that we maintain momentum in the policy realm," says FP Canada President and CEO Cary List. "Craig will provide essential leadership as we continue to advance this and other policy initiatives for the benefit of all Canadians."
Kristen McElhone, Director, Industry Relations
As Director, Industry Relations, McElhone will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with industry organizations. She will be a key ambassador for FP Canada's programs with industry and for the continued adoption and growth of CFP® certification and QAFP™ certification within the financial services sector.
McElhone brings to FP Canada over 15 years of relationship management experience in financial services. She most recently served as Vice President, Partnerships & Business Development – Eastern Canada, for Worldsource Financial Management (WFM) and Worldsource Securities Inc. (WSI), where she led their relationships with advisors and corporate partners in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. Her previous experience includes various senior roles at SEI Investments, including acting as the key relationship manager for the firm's strategic partners.
