Franchise Bancorp Inc. growth continues

BRAMPTON, ON, Feb. 2 /CNW/ - (Franchise Bancorp Inc. - TSX Venture Exchange - FBI) - The first quarter ending November 30, 2009 results are in for Franchise Bancorp Inc. and revenue is up by 13.5% from $2,071,000 to $2,351,000 .

Total franchise network sales increased by 13% from $25,040,000 to $28,332,000 .

Growth is being driven by the Global Pet Food division with 123 stores now open and 10 new stores are scheduled to open this year on Ontario and Alberta.

Franchise Bancorp Inc.'s other divisions, Living Lighting and Liv Canada Gift Group, showed slight improvement, but same store sales were down 3.9% and 16.7% respectively.

Improved housing sales activity will benefit these divisions later this spring.

Franchise Bancorp Inc. quarterly earnings yielded 2 cents per share fully diluted versus 1 cent last year.
