Frank D'Angelo's 'FLYING HIGH' Climbs to 16 on U.S. AC Chart, Now the #1 Added Single
TORONTO, Aug. 22, 2012 /CNW/ - Frank D'Angelo's 'Flying High', the second single to be released off his 'Winds of Time' album, has moved from the number 20 to the 16th position on the FMQB AC top 200 chart in the U.S. Released only a few short weeks ago, it was the #1 most added song of the past week. This success follows on the heels of the release of Frank's first single 'You're the One' which debuted as the #1 added single on the U.S. before breaking through onto the Top 20.
Frank D'Angelo, a proud Canadian, is justifiably pleased with the great response he receiving in the U.S. "When you pour your heart and soul into the words, when you don't hold anything back in studio and give it your all because your fans deserve your best, it's great to know the people who like R&B are enjoying my music," said Frank. "To be recognized in one of the largest music markets in the world is very humbling."
Both 'Flying High' and 'You're The One' are from Frank's new 14 track CD 'Winds of Time' with all songs written and performed by Frank and backed by the always spectacular Frank D'Angelo Band featuring some of Canada's finest musicians. Released through Blue Sapphire Music/DEP/Universal) and available online on iTunes, the CD is a must-have addition to any R&B music lovers' library.
To promote the album, Frank has worked tirelessly on a mini-concert tour with stops in Montreal, Markham, Burlington and most recently a special appearance at the Taste of Danforth in Toronto. And now fans in Southern Ontario have a chance to be among the first to hear his new songs performed live at Hamilton Place on Saturday September 15th. A fiery, passionate entertainer, Frank's boundless energy always promises to take the audience on a blazing, emotional journey highlighted by powerful vocals. Tickets are available through the Hamilton Place box office and Ticketmaster (links below).
Frank D'Angelo's debut CD, 'You Gotta Believe to Believe' was released in March 2007. The proceeds went towards breast cancer research. In 2008 he released his second album 'Full Circle'. In time for Christmas 2009, D'Angelo released a touching version of the holiday classic 'Silent Night' and then followed up in 2010 with an original song for the holidays, `Let's Celebrate', with proceeds going to charities that support the homeless. To-date his YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/frankdangelomusic?ob=0) has received over 3.8 million hits.
Frank D'Angelo excels at many things and is a truly modern renaissance man. As a performer he knew there was a big void in Canadian television for Canadians to promote their talents and created a national late night talk-variety show, 'The Being Frank Show' which airs at 1:00 AM on CHCH Television. He wanted a platform to showcase our Canadian talent and is now gearing up to star his third season. Al Pacino, Graham Greene, Murray McLauchlan, Tony Bennett, Ian Thomas, Bill Fichtner, Kevin Hearn of The Barenaked Ladies, Kim Coates, Estella Warren, Bai Ling, Snow, Pavlo and many more have all been guests on the show.
