MONTRÉAL, June 16, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - Frank Mariage has been appointed Chair of the SIDEX Board of Directors. He takes over from Élaine C. Phénix, who served as Chair since the organization was established in 2001.

A partner at Fasken and a member of the Barreau since 2001, Frank Mariage practices in the areas of securities and corporate law, specializing in the mining sector, where he represents and advises mining and exploration companies in all types of transactions, both in Canada and abroad.
Since 2011 he has been recognized as a leader in mining and natural resources law by such organizations as The Best Lawyers in Canada, Who's Who Legal Canada, Chambers Canada and Lexpert.
Mr. Mariage is very active in the development of Québec's mining sector and served as Chairman of the Association de l'exploration minière du Québec (AEMQ) from 2014 to 2018. He sits on several boards of mining companies, has been a member of the TSX Venture Exchange Advisory Committee since 2013 and is frequently invited to speak at conferences.
Frank Mariage earned a Bachelor of Law (1999) and a Bachelor's in Political Science (1996) from Université de Montréal.
