Franklin Templeton Announces Changes for Franklin Quotential Portfolios and Certain Global Fixed Income Funds Français
TORONTO, Dec. 18, 2013 /CNW/ - Franklin Templeton Investments Corp. today announced allocation range changes for its Franklin Quotential Portfolios as well as a fee realignment for certain global fixed income funds.
Franklin Quotential Portfolios
Effective December 19, 2013, Franklin Quotential Portfolios will broaden the equity and fixed income allocation ranges to better align with each fund's respective category limit, as outlined by the Canadian Investment Funds Standards Committee. Additionally, foreign securities limits have been removed from the investment strategies of each Franklin Quotential Portfolio.
These changes will provide the Franklin Quotential Portfolios with added flexibility to adjust to changing market conditions, without compromising the core investment philosophy and objectives of the Franklin Quotential Portfolios.
Global Fixed Income Funds
In response to increasing demand for fee-based purchase options, Franklin Templeton will decrease the management fee for Series F units in Templeton Global Bond Fund and Templeton Global Bond Fund (Hedged) from 1.25 per cent to 0.75 per cent, effective January 1, 2014. Investors in these funds will benefit from industry standard pricing, ensuring lower and competitive fees for new and existing investors.
