TORONTO, May 29, 2014 /CNW/ - Franklin Templeton Investments Corp. today announced changes to the risk ratings of the funds listed in the table below. These changes will be reflected in the renewal of the simplified prospectus of the funds, which is being filed on or about May 29, 2014.
The methodology used to determine the risk rating of each fund is based on the methodology recommended by the Fund Risk Classification Task Force of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada. A summary of the methodology used by Franklin Templeton to identify the risk rating of each Franklin Templeton mutual fund can be found in the fund's simplified prospectus, available at franklintempleton.ca. The methodology is also available at no cost by calling 1-800-387-0830 or by sending an email to [email protected].
The risk rating for each fund is reviewed at least annually, as well as when a fund undergoes a material change. These changes are the result of an annual review. No material changes have been made to the investment objectives, strategies or management of these funds.
