SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 21, 2015 /CNW/ - Today, leading chat-as-a-service company Frankly Inc. (TSX VENTURE: TLK) ("Frankly") announced a partnership with Mind Cures, LLC ("Mind Cures"), an innovative digital publishing and mobile development company that builds apps for millions of readers to connect with authors and other fans of bestselling self-help books.
Frankly and Mind Cures will kick off their collaboration with an app for Neale Donald Walsch, the popular American author of a nine-book series, Conversations with God, which has a community of millions around the world. Using Frankly's chat functionality alongside the app's audio and video content, users will be able to connect with Walsch and with each other, using comments and questions to spark the global conversation about modern spiritual experiences.
Mind Cures creates apps that distill the principles of bestselling authors like Stephen Covey, Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie, Jack Canfield, and books like The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, to help readers put the books' teachings into practice. Frankly will power chat for Mind Cures apps and offer a unique approach to mobile advertising and in-app monetization.
"Users are incredibly engaged with their favorite content, so we're excited to unlock new lines of communication for communities that convene around bestselling books. We are excited to provide Neale Donald Walsch and his readers with a unique and contextualized way to connect and converse with each other on a powerful mobile platform," said Frankly founder and CEO Steve Chung.
"I am thrilled to be able to design a new space for people to connect with each other, explore revolutionary theological ideas, and ignite conversations worldwide," said author Neale Donald Walsch. "Mobile chat will bring the community closer together than ever before."
"As Neale Donald Walsch's exclusive app developers, we wanted to do something with new technology that would bring his message closer to his readers. We see Frankly's chat technology as a way to bridge the gap between the author and reader and are excited to be at the center of this new social interaction," said Mind Cures CEO Evan Gappelberg.
