For the seventh year in a row, Fredericton youth receive free tennis instruction and racquet
FREDERICTON, June 14, 2012 /CNW/ - It's that time of the year again for Fredericton youth to brush up on their tennis skills and have some fun! Saturday, June 23, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. marks the seventh annual UPS Kids' Tennis Day.
Registration to enroll for the free kids' tennis clinic opens on Monday, June 18, at 9 a.m. To register, parents need to e-mail their child's name and age, along with a contact telephone number to [email protected]. Please note that registrations received prior to Monday, June 18, will not be accepted. The first 100 children between the ages of five and 13 will secure a spot.
"We enjoy hosting this event that the community looks forward to each year," says Tammy Bilodeau, vice-president of brokerage for UPS Canada. "Being an active member of the community in which we operate is part of UPS's ongoing commitment to Fredericton."
What can Fredericton youth expect? Professional on-court instruction, a new tennis racquet courtesy of UPS Canada and a day full of fun. As long as the sun is shining, the event will be held at Wilmot Park Tennis Courts, with a rain location at the Leo Hayes High School.
"UPS Kids' Tennis Day fills up quickly! Parents, please remember to register your children Monday morning," says Rose Arsenault of the Capital Region Tennis Association. "I can't wait to see all the children and their smiling faces; it really is a great community-building event and most importantly, fun!"
The event is organized in Fredericton by UPS and the Capital Region Tennis Association.
