Free St. Patrick's Day service on TTC routes - thanks to Jameson Irish Whiskey
Jameson offers free public transportation on TTC streetcar routes
TORONTO, March 12, 2019 /CNW/ - For the second year in a row, Jameson Irish Whiskey is partnering with the TTC to provide free, safe rides to Torontonians as they travel to and from St. Patrick's Day festivities. From 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 17th rides on the 501 Queen and 504 King routes are completely free.
"St. Patrick's Day is one of our most celebrated days of the year and it's also one of the busiest," says Alice Carroll, Brand Manager, Jameson Irish Whiskey. "Deciding which party to attend or bar to visit to celebrate with your friends is enough to think about. Your safe ride? We've got you covered. Your drink of choice? We'd recommend a Jameson, Ginger and Lime. On St. Patrick's Day, or any day."
"The TTC is proud to partner with Jameson Irish Whiskey once again to offer safe, reliable service free of charge this St. Patrick's Day," said TTC Chair Jaye Robinson. "We hope customers will take advantage of the complimentary service and have a safe and fun celebration."
Fare boxes on streetcars will be covered, as will PRESTO card readers. Customers connecting to the subway or another route from the 501 or 504 must pay their fare when entering or boarding at their transfer point.
Jameson Irish Whiskey and the TTC encourage Torontonians to take public transit; please don't drink and drive.
