OTTAWA, Jan. 9, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Veteran broadcaster, former host of The West Block, and chief political correspondent for Global Television, Tom Clark will bring his unmatched experience and insight to Canada's largest privately-owned public affairs and communications firm, Global Public Affairs.
Tom assumes the position of Chair, Public Affairs and Communications effective today. In this role he will provide executive-level government relations and strategic communications counsel to Global's clients leveraging his expansive 45 years in journalism. Tom will provide his own unique suite of services with fully bespoke media training, facilitation and strategic advice to address the public affairs challenges facing Canada's corporate sector.

Based in Global's Ottawa office, Tom will work regularly with clients in each office and across the country to bring his perspective on Canada's most critical public affairs and policy challenges affecting the business community. Critical issues such as the current Canada-US relationship and dynamic; climate change and energy policy; and, the federal-provincial dynamic are dramatically changing and impacting business outcome. Tom has an unmatched understanding of the Canada and US media cycle and the role of media in the new 'post-truth' world – a dynamic that runs across all of these issues.
