OTTAWA, June 20, 2017 /CNW/ - The Joint Review Panel assessing the proposed Frontier Oil Sands Mine Project is seeking public comments on the responses to the information requests issued by the Panel. The responses were submitted by the proponent, Teck Resources Ltd.
The Panel invites Indigenous groups, the public and other review participants to submit their comments in writing by July 20, 2017 on whether the information submitted by the proponent is sufficient to proceed to the public hearing.
The Panel announced the start of the public comment period on April 7, 2017 and now that all of the proponent's responses have been received, the Panel is providing 30 days' notice of the end of the comment period.
The comments will help determine whether further information is required from the proponent. All comments received will be considered public and posted online in the public registry. Written comments in either official language should be sent to: [email protected]
