Demonstrations at Convergence will highlight Fujitsu's global leadership as a provider of the industry's most comprehensive and advanced automotive graphics display and control solutions for automotive instrument clusters, dashboards, human-machine interfaces, and other innovative applications.

At booth 817, Fujitsu will demonstrate a 2D/3D Graphics SoC with an integrated GDC and GPU. The new flagship SoC enables sophisticated graphics and effects for instrument cluster and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The SoC's high-performance, integrated design makes it ideal for use with the Fujitsu 360-degree Wrap-Around Video Imaging Technology, which will be demonstrated for the first time as a commercial solution ready for deployment.

The wrap-around technology uses advanced 3D algorithms to synthesize images from four cameras to recreate a seamless, omnidirectional view of a vehicle's surroundings. The Fujitsu 360-degree Wrap-Around Video Imaging Technology eliminates "blind spots" and provides visual assistance when the driver is backing up, turning corners, or merging.

32-bit MCU with Integrated Graphics Controller SoC and CGI Software Tool for AutoGraFX Suite

Fujitsu will also demonstrate a 32-bit MCU with an integrated graphics controller, which provides a single-chip solution for applications that require robust color display and video-input capabilities. Applications include automotive instrument clusters, center consoles using color displays, vehicle camera systems, and industrial controllers with color displays. The new chip is ideal for next-generation automotive systems that need maximum functionality from display and control units, including hybrid and electric cars that require robust functional integration between meters, controls and displays.

Fujitsu will demonstrate a new CGI design application for the company's AutoGraFX suite. This software development toolset enables automotive system designers to design and prototype 2D and 3D graphical human machine interfaces (HMI/GUI) for instrument clusters and infotainment systems on a Microsoft Windows platform (http://www.fujitsu.com/us/news/pr/fma_20100608-3.html). With the addition of the CGI application, AutoGraFX offers automotive system designers an even more robust and complete software design solution to shorten development time for advanced automotive applications.

Fujitsu to Present at SAE's "Quantum Value Leaps through Collaboration" Session

Fujitsu will deliver a major presentation at SAE's technical session, "Quantum Value Leaps through Collaboration."
