Funatorium Explorium Family Extravaganza invites Ottawa Families to a Guinness World Records® attempt Family Day Weekend at the new CE Centre!

OTTAWA, Feb. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - With less than two weeks until Family Day Weekend, Funatorium Explorium is busy getting ready for a brand new three day event at the CE Centre for parents and kids to PLAY together. The weekend's events will wrap up on Monday afternoon with a Guinness World Records® attempt.

"We wanted to end the event on a high note," says Leslie Foster, President and Chief Fun Creator.

The amazing people at Guinness World Records proposed the idea of the world's largest streamer string fight.  It's a wild and crazy, incredibly fun, family-friendly activity that promises to create a lasting memory for all participants!

We are hoping to have 1,500 participants help us set this record.  It promises to be a colourful and messy fun time!

We're ready to show the rest of Canada how Ottawa families have fun!

WHEN: February 20, 2012
WHERE: CE Centre, 4899 Uplands Drive, Ottawa
TIME: 4:30 - 5:00 pm
WHO: Families with children ages 4+
Sign-up: sign-up starts at noon and will continue until all spots are filled.  A waiting list will be maintained in case some people don't show up.  There will also be room for spectators to cheer participants on!
