Funding available to participate in the NEB's hearing process for the ITC Lake Erie Connector Project Français
CALGARY, AB, May 20, 2015 /CNW/ - The National Energy Board (NEB) is making available a total of $250,000 under its Participant Funding Program to assist eligible individuals and groups intervening in the hearing process for the proposed Lake Erie Connector Project.
Funding applications will be accepted through to the close of the application to participate (ATP) process which has yet to be announced. The ATP process is when interested groups and individuals are able to apply to participate in the hearing process.
ITC Lake Erie Connector LLC (ITC Lake Erie) filed its project description for approval to construct and operate an International Power Line (IPL) greater than 50kV called the Lake Erie Connector Project (Lake Erie Connector or the Project) on 30 January 2015. The project, if approved, would consist of three distinct components: High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) converter stations and facilities, terrestrial cable systems, and under water cable systems. The project would run from Nanticoke, Haldimand County, Ontario, to Erie County, Pennsylvania.
