As one of the longest operating retail stores in Canada, Future Shop has grown from a one store operation in Vancouver, British Columbia, to more than 145 stores from coast to coast. During the 1980s, Future Shop grew quickly expanding operations into Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario and by 1990, Future Shop became Canada's largest electronics retailer. Throughout the 1990s, Future Shop continued to expand into the remaining provinces. Today, Future Shop has more than 10,000 employees dedicated to providing customers with expert advice on consumer electronics, in-store and online.
To thank Canadians for their support over the past three decades, Future Shop is holding a 30th Anniversary Sale in-store and online from October 5-7. Canadians will get great deals on the latest electronics and appliances, in every department, in-store and online.
Also, beginning the weekend of October 5th, Future Shop will also hold "Flip it to Win" contest based on the classic "memory cards" game at Futureshop.ca/Flipit. Contestants can compete for the top spot on the online leader board and for a chance to win a grand prize of $5,000 worth of electronics or one of 12 secondary prizes.
