LONDON, Aug. 22, 2018 /CNW/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the Middle East & Africa smart cards market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Gemalto with the 2018 Middle East & Africa Customer Value Leadership Award for empowering customers with a white-label payment application infrastructure, PURE. PURE enables the complete payment ecosystem comprised of card manufacturers, mobile wallet offers, point-of-sale (POS) vendors, software and authorization systems suppliers and test laboratories. PURE ecosystem ensures interoperability with different technologies, which allows significant application in domestic schemes, financial inclusion and closed-loop private networks.
"PURE's card range is evolving and now include biometric authentication with a built-in fingerprint sensor and dynamic security code technology, making it a truly secure payment technology," said Fadzai Deda, Best Practices Research Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. "With the network of connected systems expanding, Gemalto's flexibility allows users to adapt and position themselves competitively to address new market requirements such as contactless cards, wearables or consumer devices."
"PURE offers its customers various transaction options apart from the card, such as mobile contactless and QR Code solutions, to ensure that its customers' businesses are future-proof and compliant with EMV standards," noted Deda. "Overall, Gemalto's systems help customers benefit from the diverse ecosystem, enabling new and innovative payment solutions to interoperate with existing POS terminals, public transportation turnstile, tolls and automated teller machines."
