TORONTO, Oct. 7, 2015 /CNW/ -- General Mills Canada confirmed today that the Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios cereals it sells in Canada are not included in the recall announced yesterday by General Mills in the United States. Canadian Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios cereals can be identified by their distinctive bilingual English-French packaging.
General Mills voluntarily recalled several days of production of original (yellow box) Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios cereal sold in the United States and produced at its Lodi, California facility on certain dates in July of this year because of an undeclared allergen – wheat. General Mills Canada does not source any Cheerios products from the company's plant in Lodi, California. Canadian Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios cereals are produced at a different facility and are not included in the recall.
