Genesis Land Development Corp. Announces Appointment of Chief Financial
Officer

CALGARY , Oct. 2 /CNW/ - Genesis Land Development Corp. ("Genesis") (TSX:GDC) today announced the appointment of Mr. Simon Fletcher , CA to the position of Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Fletcher is a Chartered Accountant (member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta) and has over 10 years of professional accounting and finance experience. He has been with Genesis for more than 2 years and, prior to this appointment, served as Genesis' Corporate Controller.

Mr. Gobi Singh , President and CEO of Genesis had the following comment, "We welcome the appointment of Mr. Simon Fletcher to the role of CFO.
