GENESIS WORLDWIDE INC. PROVIDES UPDATE REGARDING NOTICE OF DELISTING REVIEW
BY THE TORONTO STOCK EXCHANGE
VAUGHAN, ON, Dec. 21 /CNW/ - Genesis Worldwide Inc. ("Genesis" or the "Company"), (TSX: GWI), a provider of 'green' structural building technology in the light steel structural products industry, announces that the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX") has extended its review of the eligibility of the common shares of the Company for continued listing until January 17, 2011. As previously announced on October 22, 2010, the Company was subject to a delisting review by the TSX as the Company did not meet the requirement that the market value of Genesis' freely-tradable, publicly held securities should be more than $2.0 million over any period of 30 consecutive trading days. While the Company will endeavor to meet the continued listing requirements of the TSX prior to January 17, 2011, the Company also intends to make application for listing its common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange ("TSX-V") or NEX to ensure uninterrupted trading of the Company's common shares.
Management of the Company notes that a transfer in its stock exchange listing to the TSX-V or TSX-V-NEX would provide greater operational efficiency and lower costs for the Company, while allowing shareholders continued liquidity on a recognized TSX exchange.
