Geranium Homes named BILD Home Builder of the Year

GREATER TORONTO, April 30, 2012 /CNW/ - Geranium Homes was crowned 2012 BILD Home Builder of the Year by the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) at the 32^nd Annual BILD Awards on Friday, April 27.

The Home Builder of the Year award was established by BILD in 1998 to recognize the builder who sets the standard for the rest of the industry by their leadership in improving the overall image of the industry.

The award is based on quality, service and customer commitment from the moment the agreement of purchase and sale is signed right through to post-closing service period. A key component of the judging process is the Association's survey of the builder's recent occupants in various communities.

"This is a truly unique award in the sense that both the industry experts and the consumers get to work together in selecting the GTA's top home builder," said BILD Chair Paul Golini Jr. "Geranium Homes has shown excellence in building, marketing, customer service and community involvement, which is evident in all of the projects they put on the market."

This is the second such recognition for Geranium Homes in 2012. Earlier this year, the Canadian Home Builders' Association awarded the builder the Grand SAM for excellence in both building and marketing.

"On behalf of the Association, I would like to formally congratulate Geranium Homes and its associates on this accomplishment," Golini added. "Thank you for your contribution to this industry within the GTA and across Canada."

Geranium also took home the award for Best New Home Design 2,500 to 4,000 Square Feet for a home in the Forest Trail Estates community in Ballantrae in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.
