Tune in on November 16th at 10pm as one lucky finalist scores the job of a lifetime
TORONTO, Nov. 10 /CNW/ - Score Media Inc. in partnership with Gillette is pleased to announce that the wait is almost over for one lucky and talented finalist of Gillette DRAFTED 2: The Search for Canada's Next Sportscaster.
On Tuesday, November 16th at 10pm one of the two remaining finalists - either Niagara's Brent Furtney, a former high school English teacher or Calgary's Kacie Hollins, a Carleton journalism grad - will be crowned the winner of a one-year contract with Score Media as its newest sports broadcaster, contributing to theScore Television Network, theScore.com, ScoreMobile and theScore Satellite Radio, as well as a one-year spokesperson contract with Gillette.
"This season was filled with more drama and tougher challenges than ever - the entire process was much more exciting than we could have imagined," says Greg Sansone, VP, Television, Score Media Inc. "It's amazing how quickly these finalists grew on us and while both Kacie and Brent have what it takes to win this competition, we can only choose one winner; it's going to be a really tough call."
Out of thousands of entries, 10 finalists got to strut their stuff on national TV but with their consistency and confidence over the course of the competition, Brent and Kacie made their mark and are the two draftees left racing to the finish line.
"Gillette is proud of all the Canadians who participated from coast to coast," says Chris Lamb, Gillette Brand Manager. "With all the new challenges, interactive judging panel and excitement from week to week, this year's edition of Gillette DRAFTED really brought to life our mission of helping men look, feel and be their best every day."
