10 lucky finalists now one step closer to fulfilling their dream in reality TV show airing September 13th on The Score
TORONTO, July 19 /CNW/ - Score Media Inc. (TSX: SCR) and Gillette today announce that the finalists for Gillette DRAFTED 2 have been selected. Ten lucky participants from across the nation are now one step closer to becoming a winner of a one-year contract with Score Media as its newest multidimensional sportscaster, contributing to The Score, theScore.com and ScoreMobile, as well as a one-year spokesperson contract with Gillette.
From May 5th - June 6th, potential draftees submitted their auditions online, mailed in their entries or applied in person at live audition stops across the nation. Now the decision has been made and one of them will be the newest face of The Score and Gillette.
"This year the competition will be more exciting than ever. With more finalists, more drama and more challenges we've amped up the energy," says Greg Sansone, VP, Television, Score Media Inc. This year's finalists include: - Vancouver's Austin Spencer - a former mayoral candidate and Professional Wrestler - Toronto's Brent Furtney - a high-school English teacher who recently decided to bike from Barrie to Ottawa on a whim - Calgary's Kacie Hollins - a basketball fanatic with a Carlton journalism degree in her back pocket - Toronto's Philip Perkins - a one-time medical student and current personal trainer dubbed P-squared - Halifax's Sean Francois - a father and computer systems analyst who didn't let his failed attempt at landing a finalist spot in last year's auditions deter him from coming out for Season 2 - Toronto's Kareem Duhaney - a former employee of a High End Fashion Designer with tons of swagger - Edmonton's Meg Morrison - a competitive athlete and sports radio co- host - Toronto's Launy Schwartz - a guy who plans on becoming "Canada's Next Schwartzcaster" who was born in Montreal and is "Mr. Personality" - Toronto's Andrew Gould - a proud redhead with a unique balance of nerdy intelligence and straight-faced humour - Montreal's Rick Tirelli - an Italian stallion with a knack for putting his foot in his mouth
"The team at Gillette is thrilled to once again introduce a new and fresh face to sports broadcasting in Canada," says Pam Baillie, External Relations Manager, P&G Beauty & Grooming. "We're here to help each of the finalists build their confidence by looking and feeling their best for the challenges that lay ahead - both on and off camera."
