Toronto Public Library Foundation Launches Fundraising Campaign
TORONTO, Nov. 22 /CNW/ - Toronto Public Library Foundation is launching its annual holiday campaign which allows people to honour the book lovers in their life and support Toronto's Library.
Starting November 22, 2010, people can celebrate the holiday season by making a donation to the Toronto Public Library Foundation in the name of their favourite book lover to help Toronto's Library provide the joy of reading, learning and discovery in the community. For every donation of $10 or more, the Library Foundation will send a seasonal card acknowledging the gift to the chosen; the contributor will receive the full tax receipt for the donated amount. Cards will be sent within two business days.
"Toronto's Library is the busiest urban library system in the world, offering free resources and opportunities at every stage of a person's life," said Heather Rumball, Toronto Public Library Foundation President. "This campaign will help Toronto's Library continue to bolster early literacy, workforce readiness, cultural exchange and economic development."
There are multiple ways donations can be made to the holiday campaign: online www.tplfoundation.ca/givejoy; by phone 416-393-7123; by mail 789 Yonge Street, M4W 2G8; or in person - just drop in to one of Toronto's 99 library branches.
Toronto Public Library Foundation was established in 1997 as a registered charity. Its mission is to provide essential resources for the enhancement of Toronto Public Library and to allocate funds to priority needs not supported by municipal funding.
