Giving Beyond the Holiday Season
Child care centres, Basic Education and Clean Water Will Make a Difference All Year Round
A new website, called the Face of Giving, launched by Canadian Physicians for Aid & Relief (CPAR), gives people a way to satisfy this need by giving a meaningful gift that does not just make a difference - they can give a gift that changes lives all year round.
Clean water for school children, anti-malaria medications, child care for AIDS orphans, tree planting projects, energy saving stoves that benefit the environment, are just a few of the tangible, life-changing gifts that donors can choose to give when they sign up to become a Face of Giving on CPAR's new website www.faceofgiving.ca
In addition to donating, the Face of Giving site gives donors the unique opportunity to post their photo, and tell their story about why they have made their donation - tell their story about why they believe their gift will change lives. The site is appealing to those who are connecting online through blogging and social networking sites like FaceBook and MySpace.
The Face of Giving initiative has launched with six specific projects that support the building of healthy communities in
Specific Face of Giving projects include: - Providing Anti-malaria Medications - Constructing a Rainwater Harvesting Tank in Tanzania - Providing School Supplies for Basic Education Centres - Tree Planting in Ethiopia and Malawi - Supporting Childcare Centres for AIDS Orphans - Constructing Energy-Saving Stoves in Ethiopia
As soon as fundraising goals are reached new projects will be posted.
Donors can also set a fundraising goal in support of a project and solicit sponsored donations from their friends and family. The compelling story for each project is seen in the photos and video posted on the website - www.faceofgiving.ca
Be a Face of Giving... Make a Donation. Post Your Photo. Tell Your Story.
