TORONTO, Sept. 14, 2012 /CNW/ - With the finale of season three still ringing in their ears, over 1.6 million Gleeks (2+ Nat) turned to Global Thursday night to catch the season four premiere of Glee. As one of this fall's most anticipated returning shows, viewers weren't disappointed. Last night's episode won the night in the key A18-49 demo (Nat) with 896,000 viewers in which Rachel encounters Cassandra July (Special Guest Kate Hudson) in New York City while the latest members of New Directions are revealed in Ohio.
GLEE SEASON 4 PREMIERE DATA HIGHLIGHTS:
- Won the night nationally against A18-34 (Nat) with 505,000
- Won the night in Toronto & Vancouver for Ind2+, A18-49, A18-34

Next Thursday on Glee, Brittany turns to Britney Spears for music inspiration when Brittany is kicked off the Cheerios. Meanwhile, Kurt reveals information about Cassandra that could turn the tide in Rachel's rocky relationship with the overly-critical dance instructor.
